Mike is the Managing Director of Murphy Capital, where he leads investment strategy, capital deployment, and portfolio oversight for the Group’s corporate venture and investment activities. He is responsible for investment origination, approval, and governance, with a clear focus on long‑term value creation through patient, strategic capital. In addition to his role at Murphy Capital, Mike oversees investment activity across the wider Murphy Group, including Murphy Plant, Murphy Property, and Murphy Infrastructure Investment.
With over 20 years of senior leadership experience in construction and infrastructure, Mike brings deep operational insight to investment decision‑making across complex, capital‑intensive businesses. He also serves as Chairman of the mua Group joint venture, providing board‑level oversight and strategic direction.
Mike founded Murphy Capital to formalise the Group’s investment approach and align capital deployment with long‑term strategic objectives. A graduate of the Harvard Business School, he is actively involved across the investment lifecycle, supporting management teams with strategic clarity, governance rigour, and access to group‑level capability.

James has been instrumental in driving acquisitions and investment activity across the Murphy Group, where he is a key contributor to financial due diligence, funding strategy, and transaction structuring. He specialises in assessing investment risk, capital structures, and return profiles, particularly in projects requiring disciplined financial governance and long‑term planning.
As Finance Director for Murphy in Ireland, James supports investment committees and management teams with deep financial insight and a strong understanding of operational realities. He works closely with lenders, advisers, and investment partners to ensure robust financial frameworks, sustainable growth, and alignment with shareholder objectives.

Nancy has been heavily involved in acquisitions across the Murphy Group, leading legal due diligence and advising on deal structuring, governance, and integration. Her experience spans complex, capital‑intensive environments within construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure‑linked sectors, where she delivers commercially pragmatic advice aligned with investment objectives.
Nancy brings strong board‑level experience and supports investment committees and management teams with clear, strategic legal insight. She adds value by enabling disciplined capital deployment, accelerating transaction timelines, and ensuring robust legal frameworks that protect downside risk while supporting long‑term value creation.

Liam is the Investment Analyst at Murphy Capital, supporting investment origination, due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio management across the firm’s corporate venture and investment activity. He works alongside the investment leadership team to evaluate opportunities and support disciplined capital deployment across infrastructure‑linked and asset‑heavy businesses.
In addition to his role at Murphy Capital, Liam works within the Murphy Group as an Investment Business Analyst, supporting capital projects and investment activity across the UK, Ireland, and North America.
A Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), Liam brings commercial and cost‑risk expertise to the investment process, providing robust insight into project economics, procurement strategy and delivery risk. He plays a key role in assessing investment viability and overseeing capital deployment, applying strong commercial discipline, delivering grounded analysis, detailed risk assessment, and clear judgement on execution and return profiles.
